Shepherds Cottage is a delightful, Grade II listed, 17th Century Dales Stone Cottage facing south and standing on its own in a small field surrounded by beautiful open countryside. It stands back from the road, approached by a gravel drive and is peacefully situated between Hardraw (famous for its waterfall) and Askrigg ( The Darrowby of the Herriot films ) and is just over a mile from the market town of Hawes in Upper Wensleydale. This cottage is truly a get away from it all rural retreat and is situated in a very special, peaceful and romantic setting.

Shepherds Cottage was one of the earliest farmhouses in the Yorkshire Dales, built in 1633 and still retains all its former charm and character with original mullioned windows, beamed ceilings, feature stonework and oak floors throughout.
